The Pathfinder Club, a church-centered recreational-spiritual program, is designed for BOTH boys and girls. The program offers action, adventure, challenge, and group activities that produce team spirit and loyalty to the church. Pathfinders are encouraged to complete their class studies to learn more about Jesus, by digging deep into the Bible and into God's second book, nature. One of the Pathfinder Clubs' basic purposes is to fulfill the Elijah message of Malachi in which the"hearts of the parents are turned toward their children and the hearts of the children are turned to their parents." As parents and church members work, worship, and play together with the Pathfinders, the so-called generation gap disappears in a bond of common experience. Children learn best by example; the whole Pathfinder philosophy is built on this idea. It is important, then, that spiritually committed, dedicated leaders of high principles be chosen to work with the Pathfinders.
Pathfinder Clubs have different levels:
Grades 5-10: Pathfinders
Grades 8-11: Teen Leadership
Grades 11 & Up: Master Guides
$40.00/child - 2 children
$35.00/child - 3 or more children
The Advent message to all the world in my generation.
Explanation: My relationship to Jesus Christ is of such a nature that it compels me to share with any who will receive it, the gospel—the good news of His soon return.
The Love of Christ Compels Me
Explanation: I am drawn to Him by His exemplary life, the symbolic act of His crucifixion, His conquering resurrection, and His promise of an earth made new in the pattern of the original creation. The closer I find myself to Him, the closer I find myself identifying with the needs of my fellow human beings.
Pledge & Law
The Pathfinder Pledge & Law is an important part of Pathfinders. Thousands of Pathfinders each year learn and choose to abide by the requirements of the Pathfinder Pledge and Law for the sole purpose of growing closer to their fellow men and women, and to their Creator.
Pathfinder Pledge and Law:
By the grace of God, I will be pure, and kind, and true. I will keep the Pathfinder Law. I will be a servant of God and a friend to man.
The Law is for me to:
Keep the morning watch
Do my honest part
Care for my body,
Keep a level eye
Be courteous and obedient
Walk softly in the sanctuary,
Keep a song in my heart,
Go on God's errand.
